New warehouse and fulfilment centre announced by logistics firm
A Liverpool logistics firm has unveiled plans for a new warehouse and fulfilment centre, set to open in September.
Kays Logistics, part of Speke-based Kays Medical, says the new development will allow the business to expand its capacity and meet the increasingly sophisticated logistics demands of its customers.
Located in Speke, close to Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the new 35,000 sq ft high-volume warehouse and fulfilment centre is set to bring new business and jobs to the area. Kays will initially take on 10 new staff, with plans for further recruitment later.
Working across a range of industries, Kays Logistics has experienced significant growth over recent years serving an array of sectors such as automotive, retail, aerospace, and e-commerce.
Reflecting the growing demands of customers, the expansion will enable Kays Logistics to offer 3PL services including full pick-pack functions, reworking and kitting services, along with storage and distribution.
Kays CEO, Ben Ludzker, said: “It’s exciting to see the new building going up. It is a tangible example of the company’s growth ambitions and our continued diversification.
“We see great potential in this new logistics division and are already looking to add new sites across the country.”
