Residence Inn Manchester Piccadilly will be brand’s first site in Northern England
The first Residence Inn by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 brands, is set to open its latest UK aparthotel in the heart of Manchester city centre.
It will be the brand’s first in Northern England and the fifth Residence Inn property in the UK, with the other four located in London and Scotland.
Residence Inn by Marriott Manchester Piccadilly offers a prime central location for those travelling into the city for work or play, or residents of Manchester looking for escapism to the city.
The development is situated on Laystall Street, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the city’s main transport hub, Manchester Piccadilly, but also ideally located next door to the bustling areas of Ancoats and Northern Quarter.
The 155-guestroom hotel will consist of sleek and spacious studios and one-bedroom suites to suit solo visitors, corporates, couples, families or friends staying for business or leisure.
The hotel is also pet friendly, while modern design sweeps through both the individual apartments and communal areas, with the use of warm, neutral tones, that strike the perfect balance between being at home and away from home.
Twenty five of the studios and suites offer baths and more than half offer sofa beds in the living space, designed for little travellers, or groups enjoying time away together.
Every room comes with a fully functional kitchen, featuring microwaves, single ovens, two-ring hobs, refrigerators and dishwashers, as well as cookware.
All rooms come with Smart-TVs, while self-service communal laundry facilities are available on site and open at all times. Those staying on the higher floors can also expect stunning skyline views across central Manchester.
The soon to open longer-stay hotel offers lounge areas and a coffee shop with a grab and go counter. Complementary breakfasts are available, but there is also a bespoke grocery delivery service.
Meeting spaces can be transformed to suit diverse needs, as well as an outdoor seating area for those that like to dine, drink, or work al fresco.
There is a fitness centre, open 24/7, featuring high-spec cardio, resistance and free weight areas.
The area in which Residence Inn is situated has undergone significant development over the past few years and is now home to many large corporate offices, as well as popular, primarily independent, dining, drinking and cultural establishments.
The hotel will be home to two retail spaces on the ground floor, which will be independently accessible from the hotel. The retail units are available to let and will look to service the needs and wants of those in the area.
