Liverpool’s Bold Street is to get a Søstrene Grene store.

The cult Danish homewares brand will open it first site in the city, with an opening date to be announced shortly.

Søstrene Grene says it is renowned for its design chic and budget-friendly prices.

Its range embraces homewares, furniture, kitchen products, gifting, wrapping paper, crafts, toys, accessories and ‘mini home’ products for children.

The store will feature the brand’s signature labyrinth design allowing customers to explore the diverse product range in a relaxing environment.

The brand also draws on the concept of ‘hygge’, which is the notion of creating a warm and cosy environment, which Denmark credits with making them the world’s happiest people.

Mikkel Grene, CEO and co-owner of Søstrene Grene, said: “We are thrilled to introduce Søstrene Grene to the vibrant city of Liverpool.

“Our store is more than just a place to shop – it’s a destination for inspiration and to help create a sense of ‘hygge’ in your own home and routine.”

Currently undergoing an expansion, with recent openings in London and Sheffield, Søstrene Grene has chosen to open its 17th UK store in Liverpool.

It has previously opened stores in Manchester city centre and Altrincham.

Jonathan Cooper, UK joint venture partner at Søstrene Grene, said: “We are very pleased to be bringing Søstrene Grene to Liverpool and furthering the brand’s expansion across the UK. It’s long been a location on our radar, with Bold Street being the perfect spot for the store”
