Shell takes 30,000 sq ft at Concord Business Park

MAX Property Group has let 30,000 sq ft of space in Brabazon House at Concord Business Park in south Manchester to Shell UK.

The letting, which is one of the biggest in the area in years, is for a ten-year period with a five-year break.

Concord Business Park is close to Manchester Airport and has 124,000 sq ft in five buildings. Shell joins Serco who leased Maple House (25,000 sq ft), accountants Trevor Jones (18,000 sq ft) and ThyssenKrupp Elevator (11,000 sq ft), all of whom have relocated to Concord within the last 36 months.

Savills and GVA Grimley acted for Max and Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Shell.
Ben Walford of Max’s investment advisor, Prestbury Investments, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing another outstanding occupier to Concord, reinforcing it as one of South Manchester’s most attractive and competitive occupational locations.

“We now turn our attention to refurbishing the final vacant building on the park, the 40,000 sq ft Dakota House, and bringing the space to the market as soon as possible.”

Shell spokeswoman Rachel Halley said: “Max Property Group were a pleasure to deal with and ensured a smooth transaction. We are looking forward to moving into our new offices next year.”
