Wain Homes begins 2024 with plans for 16 development launches

Wain Homes will start 16 different developments sites in 2024, which, in total, will deliver 1,885 new homes across the UK as it continues to target sustained growth.

The independently-owned Warrington-based company believes the underlying factors of long term undersupply and levelling interest rates will see demand for new homes continue in the next 12 months as customer confidence returns.

The developments are spread across the company’s three operating regions covering the North West, South West and the Severn Valley.

Wain Group executive chairman, Will Ainscough, said: “We are focused on continuing to build a wide range of high quality homes in areas with existing strong communities.

“Our pipeline of sites demonstrates our ability to procure new land, based on the company’s long standing reputation, a straightforward approach due to independent ownership and our track record in delivering high quality, sustainable developments.

“We have the security and experience to look at the long term picture and starting on site in 2024 with 16 new developments across the UK demonstrates that we are not swayed by transient market conditions.”

The developments will see three new sites starting in the North West delivering a total of 275 new homes. These include, Whittingham Lane, Broughton with 44 new homes and the third phase of Kingsley Manor, Thornton-Cleveleys, which will have 184 new homes

In the South West four sites will create a total of 504 new homes including 202 at Tencreek in Liskeard, Cornwall and a further phase of 150 homes at Chudleigh near Exeter.

The Severn Valley will see the most activity with nine new sites launching this year which will deliver 1,106 new homes

The schemes range from Grove Chase in Warminster, Wiltshire which will have 39 properties when complete, to Mead Fields in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset with a total of 178 new homes.

The region also takes in Hill Wood Gardens, Coventry, West Midlands which will provide 208 new homes.

Will added: “This commitment to continued growth and delivery makes the Wain Group an attractive proposition for the best industry talent as we continue to acquire more sites to bring through the planning system.

“We are all looking forward to a really positive 12 months, building homes that are part of the community in beautiful locations where people want to live.”
