Spitting Feathers to open new bar at Chester Station following 15-year lease deal

Acting on behalf of a private client, Legat Owen has secured Chester brewery, Spitting Feathers, as a new tenant for Units 1, 2 and 3, West Wing, at the town’s train station.
The brewery has agreed a 15-year lease on the property, which will be called Chester Station Tap Room.
The Grade II-listed property, comprising 3,500 sq ft, has been vacant for some time and was previously a bar/café.
The premises will undergo refurbishment prior to opening.
The Spitting Feathers brewery is based on a farm in Waverton, near Chester, and has been operating since 2005.
In 2008 it embarked on an exciting journey opening its first pub, The Brewery Tap, in Chester, which quickly gained recognition and acclaim, winning numerous local and regional pub awards.
A second pub, The West Kirby Tap, on the Wirral, opened in 2014.
Spitting Feathers is now poised to unveil its third pub, Chester Station Tap Room.
This milestone year will also be particularly special, as Spitting Feathers will be celebrating 20 years of brewing,
Tom Creer, Associate Director at Legat Owen, said: “We are delighted to have secured Spitting Feathers for this prominent location.
“The property offers a unique opportunity within a major gateway location to the city.
“Chester Station Tap Room will be an exciting addition to this area of Chester.”
