Bentley showroom to open in Sao Paulo

NORTH West luxury car maker Bentley has expanded its retail network into South America, with the opening of a showroom in Brazil.

The showroom, in the country’s capital of Sao Paulo in Brazil, will be owned and operated by British Cars do Brasil Ltda. It will be the 48th Bentley location in the Americas’ region.

Crewe-based Bentley said the opening was a critical step in its push into South America. It said it saw the market as having key growth potential and strategic fit with Bentley’s commitment to make all of its products compatible with renewable fuels by 2012.

Christophe Georges, president and chief operating officer for Bentley Motors Inc, which is the sales, marketing and distribution channel for Bentley brand products sold in the Americas’ region, said: “This is truly a momentous occasion for the Bentley brand as this fine showroom demonstrates not only our continued expansion in the Americas’ region, but also our acknowledgment of Sao Paulo as a major centre of commerce, luxury and culture in South America.”

Last month, the company said it was to launch of a dealership in oil-rich Kazakhstan, which is due to open later this year.
