Liverpool Vision appoints new chief executive

ECONOMIC development company Liverpool Vision has appointed Max Steinberg as its new chief executive.

The 59-year-old who comes from the city is currently the chief executive of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire which is one of the largest economic development companies in the country.

Under Max’s leadership Regenerate Pennine Lancashire has been responsible for an economic development programme which has seen the creation of over 1,000 new businesses and the attraction of £10m of private investment.

Mr Steinberg said: “I have always been passionate about my home city and I am excited to be returning to work in Liverpool. 

“I welcome the many and varied challenges that this new role will bring in helping take forward the remarkable progress that the city has achieved in recent years. 

“I have very much enjoyed my seven years in Pennine Lancashire and I have relished leading a team which has laid the foundations for increased prosperity and life choices for the people who live there.”

Mr Steinberg began his career at Liverpool City Council in 1975 before moving to the Housing Corporation where he remained for 25 years eventually becoming director of investment and regeneration.

In 2003, he became chief executive of Elevate East Lancashire which later changed into Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

Liverpool Vision’s chairman Mike Parker said: “Our search for a new chief executive attracted great interest nationwide and we were able to assemble a very strong shortlist of candidates.”

“Max’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable in helping us to take maximum advantage of those opportunities.”
