Appointments: Slater Heelis promotes partners; Cuckoo Design swells team; accountant joins father’s firm; and more

MANCHESTER law firm Slater Heelis has promoted two new partners.
The promotion of private client specialist Chris Partington and commercial property expert Will Henson is intended to allow the firm to achieve further growth.
Will Henson, head of the firm’s Urmston office, specialises in non-contentious commercial property law including investment, purchases and sales, the acquisition of land for development and portfolio management.
Chris Partington will spearhead the development of the private client arm of Slater Heelis in his new role as partner, advising on a wide range of legal matters including wills and trusts, powers of attorney, probate, and estate and inheritance tax planning.

DESIGN and digital agency Cuckoo Design based in Salford has strengthened its team with the appointment of two new recruits.
Alex Risolo and Matthew Tierney have joined the expanding agency which specialises in branding, design, marketing and digital.
Alex Risolo, 23, from Manchester, joins the team as a junior account executive after recently graduating in advertising and brand management from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Matthew, 17, from Wythenshawe, joins the team as an apprentice via a government-backed apprentice scheme.
He is a former Manchester City Football Club under-18 player, and will be trained up in all aspects of Cuckoo life in his new role.

AN ACCOUNTANT is returning to the North West to join the firm founded by his father.
Neil McMillan has joined Lancashire-based McMillan & Co from KPMG in Leeds, where he was a senior manager and head of department.
The 32-year-old graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Leeds in 1999 before going to work for KPMG in Yorkshire.
He said: “I’m really excited to be joining McMillan & Co to work alongside my father. McMillan & Co has a great team of people and the North West market place offers fantastic opportunities.”
Douglas McMillan said: “I’m thrilled that Neil has decided to join the practice and I am looking forward to working with him as we develop the practice together as it progresses into its second generation.”

RECRUITMENT consultancy, RMG, has continued its growth with the appointment of three senior consultants.
Catherine Doolan, Iain Flinn and Phil True have now joined the company which is based in Cheshire.
Ms Doolan and Mr Flinn will put to use 20 years’ combined experience in RMG’s technology and consulting practice.
Mr True he will use his experience of selling both retained and contingent solutions to establish a new offering to clients in the consumer sector.
