Property round-up: Winning Pitch relocates; Cotton Traders takes more space; and more

BUSINESS coaching firm Winning Pitch has relocated its headquarters from One Central Park in north Manchester to a larger office at Exchange Quay in Salford Quays.
The firm has taken a 4,195 sq ft office suite in Building 8 at the Exchange Quay complex on a five-year lease.
Heather Lomas, operations director at Winning Pitch, said: “We had outgrown our existing office and Exchange Quay provides everything we were looking for in new office premises.
“It is ideally located and its generous onsite parking and Metrolink station provide easy access for both clients and staff.”
Canning O’Neill advised landlord Exchange Quay Master Trust on the deal.

CLOTHING retailer Cotton Traders has taken extra space by its Altrincham HQ which will allow it to expand its home shopping The company has taken the whole of the 4,432 unit one at Pacific Court on Pacific Road for an annual rent of £55,000.
The firm had already occupied the ground floor of the building, which is opposite the firm’s HQ on Atlantic St. The building comes with 25 car parking spaces.
Nick Hamblin, managing director of Cotton Traders, said: “We are delighted to have been able to expand our home shopping and retail operation at Pacific Court as it supports the growth of our business and the infrastructure required to deliver world class service.”
Daniel Lee of letting agents Regional Property Solutions said: “Pacific Court and Anchorage Court was acquired by the landlord – Jersey-based Satinwood – some nine months ago.
“Its proactive approach to the management of the estate including refurbishment of the vacant accommodation has been very successful with both existing tenants as well as attracting new occupiers”.

PUMP Supply & Repair Group has successfully completed the sale of its former premises at Union Street in Swinton, Salford.
The property – a detached industrial unit containing 16,032 sq ft of space and a large yard – has been sold to New World Imports (UK) Ltd for £340,000.
The company was advised on the sale by DTZ and The Fallows Consultancy.
DTZ senior surveyor Alex Smylie said: “Due to a shortage of freehold opportunities in the market, we received a good level of demand for the building and ultimately our client was pleased to facilitate relocation plans and the purchaser was able to expand their business.”

THE Lancashire office of rural property consultant Smiths Gore is relocating from Eastway Business Village at Fulwood, Preston to Church St in Clitheroe.
The firm employs nine staff within its Lancashire office 0 five of whom are RICS qualified.
It advises on rural property consultancy, sales, lettings, estate management and other services.

HURSTWOOD has agreed a deal to let 3,300 sq ft of office space on the ground floor of its Amethyst House office building at Leigh Business Park.
snom UK has taken the space at the building, which was the last office space available at the 21,000 sq ft business park.
snom UK is the UK arm of Berlin-based snom Technology, which makes Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephones.
John Bennett, snom UK managing director, said: “We were very pleased to secure the location in Leigh, Lancashire in a short space of time and are very much looking forward to our experience in the premises.”
As well as the two office buildings, Leigh Business Park also features 13 recently-constructed industrial units ranging in size from 2,555 sq ft to 7,780 sq ft and one and-a-half acres of development land.

THE former Winston House care home on Southport’s promenade has been placed on the market with a price tag of £795,000.
The 48-bedroom building is currently closed and vacant but it was previously registered to hold 64 residents.
Agent Christie & Co said that the property could be used for a number of functions, subject to the necessary planning consents. It could be re-established as a care home or converted into a guest house or hotel.

THE not-for-profit organisation that manages Liverpool’s Baltic Creative hub has agreed deals to welcome four new firms.
App developer Citrus Suite and British Ceramic Design Studio run by Alison Appleton have each taken a 548 sq ft shop front studio, located on Jamaica Street. Sparkle, a firm specialising in motion graphics and CGI is sharing a 3,200 sq ft studio on Jordan Street with business consultancy Focus Innovation.
