GB Group appoints chief tech officer

CHESTER-based identity management company GB Group has appointed Tony Stansfield as chief technology officer.

He joins GB Group from JD Williams where he spent three years leading the applications support and development team. Before that he was a development director at Betfair.

The company said recent growth meant it needed a technology officer to “further define the group’s technology strategy”.

Chief executive Richard Law said: “One of our main business objectives is to progress our core and acquired technologies, in addition to developing new products and services that can be incorporated into the existing suite of identity management solutions.

“The most successful businesses are those which recognise the value of understanding their customers’ identities, and we are committed to providing innovative technologies that enable them to connect, communicate and transact with consumers safely, responsibly and profitably.”
