MediaCity’s Holiday Inn sets opening date

PEEL Holdings’ Leisure arm has announced that its new 218-bed Holiday Inn-branded hotel is to open in October.
 
The hotel, which will be branded Holiday Inn Manchester-MediaCityUK, will offer a gym, meeting rooms and private dining facilities and will be the only hotel to be built on the £500m, 36 acre first phase of the MediaCityUK site at Salford Quays.

“The opening of the Holiday Inn at MediaCityUK presents an exciting opportunity to provide first class accommodation to the myriad of clients of MediaCityUK and surrounding areas,” said Peel Leisure director Peter de la Perrelle.

Peel Media chairman Bryan Gray said: “The Holiday Inn at MediaCityUK is adjacent to the largest new studios in Europe, making it a real convenience for TV and film professionals using the facilities. In addition it offers visitors to Manchester and Salford Quays excellent value accommodation in a vibrant waterfront environment”.
