Lettings Latest: HIMOR, Bridge Properties, St Modwen

HIMOR has secured a hat-trick of lettings in its office, industrial and retail investment portfolio.
 
At Ship Canal House, Manchester, insolvency firm FRP Advisory LLP has taken 2,760 sq ft on part of the seventh floor. The company is moving from St Ann’s Square. CBRE and WHR acted on behalf of HIMOR, whilst Capita Symonds represented FRP Advisory.

At Bradley Hall Trading Estate, Standish, Gulf Polymers & General Trading has signed a new lease on Unit 4. It has taken 4,600 sq ft on a three-year lease for the expansion of its plastic recycling business. In Bramhall, Mounteney Solicitors has signed a 10-year lease at Unit 22 Village Square, following a relocation from Errwood House.
 
Paul Wrigglesworth, associate director at HIMOR, said: “We are really pleased that Mounteney Solicitors have decided to move to the Village Square at such an exciting time for the scheme. We have recently announced plans to comprehensively refurbish the Square to provide a more welcoming retailing environment. We have also appointed Stockport-based agents Buckley & Co to act jointly with Cheetham & Mortimer to promote the centre. Generally enquiry levels across our portfolio have increased in the last few months which, we hope, is a sign of improving confidence in the marketplace.”

SPORTS clothing retailer Under Armour has taken 7,300 sq ft at Bridge Properties 52 Princess Street.

It has agreen a five-year lease on the fourth floor. The letting means the building is now fully occupied.

It will be Baltimore-based Under Armour’s only UK base. It said the building “fitted the brand’s personality”.

Bridge Properties’ managing director, Paul McCann said: “52 Princess Street has become the home for a number of well-known names, with Under Armour’s arrival testament to the high specification of the development. The city centre location, basement car parking, and original features provide occupiers with a convenient and modern place to do business.”

WYNSORS World of Shoes and CEX Games Exchange have signed 10-year leases with St Modwen at Wythenshawe shopping centre.

The retailers will occupy 8,500 sq ft in the main Birtles shopping parade and are set to join existing tenants including JD Sports, Boots, Costa Coffee, Argos and Asda.

Steven Knowles, development director at St. Modwen, said: “We are thrilled that Wythenshawe Town Centre is continuing to attract national, big name brands, which is testament to the success of the shopping centre and our track record for strong footfall and growth. National retailers are continuing to recognise that, in this challenging marketplace, towns such as Wythenshawe give them the ability to connect with customers at a local level. This, coupled with our active calendar of events at the centre, makes the area an attractive proposition.”
