Slater & Gordon in ‘100,000 sq ft Manchester HQ’ search

LAW firm Slater & Gordon is reported to be on the look out for 100,000 sq ft of grade A office space for its central Manchester headquarters.

According to PropertyWeek.com, Slater & Gordon wants to bring former Russell Jones & Walker staff  – it acquired the firm in January 2012 – under one roof with workers inherited from its takeover in August of personal injury specialist Fentons.

Earlier this week, the Australian law firm broke its silence over its next UK acquisition target, confirming after weeks of speculation that it is in talks with Manchester firm Pannone.

Locations it is thought to be considering include 56-58 Mosley Street, 3 Hardman Square and One St Peter’s Square.

But the acquisitive firm is also considering splitting its accommodation between Manchester and a 50,000 sq ft office in Liverpool or Leeds.

PropertyWeek said Manchester agent OBI Property had been hired to carry out the search. All parties declined to comment.
