Phil Meakin to leave P3

PHIL Meakin is leaving Manchester property consultant P3 to join Orbit Developments, weeks after another co-founder Peter Gallagher departed for Colliers International.

The move leaves P3 with no office agency. It will now focus on industrial lettings led by the third ‘p’, Paul Daye.

The three established the firm in 2008 following their departure from Erinaceous when it went into administration.

Mr Daye said he will keep the P3 name and continue to work from the same office off King Street.

He said: “They’ve both been given opportunities so they’ve taken them and I wish them the best of luck. We’ve got some strong instructions and a fantastic client base so we’re fairly robust.”

P3 acts for the Kingsway industrial estate near Rochdale and is representing online retailer The Hut Group in its ongoing search for a new headquarters building and distribution base.

Mr Meakin is expected to join Alderley Edge-based Orbit Developments next month.
