Vita hires Create for Bristol scheme

BLACKPOOL-based Create Construction has won the contract to deliver a scheme in Bristol by upmarket student accommodation group Vita.
The Wilmslow company is converting a six-storey block in the city centre into 132 rooms. All the rooms have already been sold to private investors.
Vita, which has seven schemes including Liverpool and Manchester, worked with Create on a £17m project in Exeter.
Chief executive Trevor Moore said: “Bristol was selected as the location for a luxury student accommodation scheme because it has a world-renowned university and attracts a high-calibre of students from around the globe. The demand we’ve experienced from both investors and students shows that our instincts about the scheme and the city were spot-on.
“With Create Construction on-board we are confident that Vita Student at Colston Avenue will meet our high standards and the quality will help both UK and international students quickly acclimatise to life at Bristol University and make the most out of their time here.”
