Lettings latest: My Parcel Delivery; Just Costs; ICE Foundation

MY Parcel Delivery has taken 23,000 sq ft at a warehouse in Trafford Park.

It said the premises at Centenary Park , Coronet Way – four times the size of its existing base in Salford – will enable it to offer “pick and pack” services aimed at e-commerce, eBay and Amazon businesses.

Managing director David Grimes said: “We know that our customers’ e-commerce, eBay and Amazon businesses are growing at an incredible rate and they are looking for a broader range of services to help them manage this period of expansion while saving time and money.

“The recent investments we’ve received mean we are now in a position to respond to more of our customers’ requirements with a wider variety of services and enter the next phase of becoming a broader logistics and supply chain partner.

“Our new warehousing facility will enable growing e-commerce businesses to use a drop shipping approach, which means they pass the entire responsibility for storage of stock, inventory and order fulfilment to us to get their products to customers in the UK and Internationally.”

JUST Costs Solicitors has moved to a new office at 53 King Street, Manchester.

It is moving a short distance from Pall Mall Court in King Street to a 4,300 sq ft office in the former Lloyds Bank building.

It said the move to the Vision Developments-owned building would enable it to put all 60 staff on one floor.

Client services director Mark Hartigan said: “The refurbishment of the building has created a first rate working environment while the location, in close proximity to so many of our clients, is ideal.”

EVENTS firm Aps has taken 11,000 sq ft at Bruntwood’s Abney Hall in Cheadle.

The company, which is taking half the building, is expected to move from its existing base in West Didsbury in September.

Abney Hall was once owned by Agatha Christie’s brother-in-law and she wrote two of her boks while staying at the house. It was also Brunntwod’s head office before the business moved to central Manchester.

Head of regional sales at Bruntwood, Sharon Johnson, said: “Aps was looking for space that was individual, characterful and reflected their brand. Abney Hall presented the perfect space for them. Rooms in the building all come with their own unique features from period fireplaces, wood panelling to stained glass windows.”

THE ICE Foundation has acquired Northern House in Salford Quays to accommodate its ICE Postgraduate dental implant training centre.

It will open in January 2015 following a refurbishment.

ICE has purchased the freehold of the 5,726 sq ft building for an undisclosed sum. Canning O’Neill acted on behalf of the vendor.

ICE Institute trains dentists in partnership with Edge Hill University.

Canning O’Neill director Mark Canning said: “The market is clearly moving and the availability of freehold opportunities, not only in Salford Quays/Media City , but the whole of Greater Manchester, is dwindling and prices are rising.”
