Chinese investor completes second Lakes deal

A CHINESE investor has added to his Lakes porfolio with the acquisition of six self-catering holiday apartments in Keswick.

Tong Zheng first bought earlier this year when he acquired the 16-bed Keswick Park Hotel for around £1m.

The latest deal, for Brigham Farm Apartments, was agreed from an asking price of £595,000.

The vendors were Norman and Jill Green who have owned the premises since 1995 but are reducing their business commitments ahead of retirement.

They were represented by the hotels team of Colliers International and Penrith property agent PFK.

Haydn Spedding, associate director at Colliers in Manchester, said: “This is one of a significant number of sales in the Lake District hospitality sector negotiated recently by Colliers International in a market which continues to show a marked increase in activity.”
