Window of opportunity for joinery firm

A FAMILY-run joinery business is celebrating a move to new premises following the completition of a six-figure funding deal with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
M & R Joinery Services has acquired new premises at Liverpool’s Knowsley Industrial Park. The new facility is providing the company with greater capacity to accommodate its growing productions requirements.
RBS has supported the business with a fee-free loan to facilitate the purchase of the £360,000 unit using the Government-backed Funding for Lending Scheme.
M & R was established in 1989 and is an installer of traditional timber window frames and doors. It currently employs 13 people, including four family members and turns over £700,000 a year.
Director Phil Levenson said: “We are really pleased with the new premises. Strong sales have meant that we had begun to outgrow our previous site but the new unit gives us plenty of extra space we need to accommodate increased production and will also provide further capacity to expand into as we continue to grow.
Tom Parry, relationship manager at RBS said: “M & R Joinery Services is a very loyal RBS customer having banked with us for over 20 years. We are thrilled that we have been able to support the family in the latest stage of the company’s development.”
