BOLLYWOOD singing sensation, Asha Bhosle is set to fly into Manchester tomorrow (September 17) for the grand opening of the first Asha’s restaurant.

She visits the city in a trip arranged by PR company, SKV Communications.

The most recorded singing artist on the planet, she will be hosting a range of launch events and participating in a packed schedule media activities being managed by the SKV team.   

The first Asha’s opened at Wafi City, Dubai in 2002, and the brand which serves up modern Indian cuisine, is now located in countries across the Middle East.

It also has a restaurant in Birmingham which has been recommended in the coveted Michelin Guide since 2009.  

The Manchester restaurant and cocktail bar will be located in the Victorian building at 47 Peter Street, Manchester, facing the Theatre Royale and will be the 10th Asha’s across the globe.

SKV is managing Asha’s media schedule as she flies in from a series of 10 back-to-back concerts in USA.

SKV managing director Andy Spinoza, who has worked with celebrities Sir Alex Ferguson, boxer George Foreman and actress Michelle Keegan among others, said: “We have been managing Asha’s media diary and are dealing with enquiries from across the globe.  Journalists are turning the spotlight on our city.”

ACTIVE Profile –  with offices in Liverpool, Manchester and London – has been appointed by Valor Hospitality Europe to develop and implement a strategic PR programme to raise the profile of the hotel management business and its team of directors.

Valor is a young, dynamic company, which currently manages a portfolio of 20 hotels throughout the UK, including major brands such as Marriot, Indigo and Hilton.
