50% of apartments at the new Keel now taken

LIVERPOOL’S new residential development The Keel is 50% let, three months after its launch.

All of the studio apartments and  more than 80% of one beds, 25% of two and a third of three beds have already been taken up by tenants, who plan to move in to the luxury development on Queen’s Dock at the end of the month.

The £30m transformation of the former HMRC customs and revenue office, consists of 240 apartments, complete with a residents’ only gym and waterside terrace.

Surrounding a central quay and overlooking the River Mersey, the apartments enjoy an abundance of natural light, with waterside views, providing a luxury lifestyle in the city’s most inspirational location.

The Keel offers a new approach to private renting in the Liverpool market because the entire development is owned and managed by a single entity, rather than by many different private landlords.

Tenants will benefit from professional on-site property management and a 24-hour customer help service, meaning quality and management, both short and long term, can be controlled and enhanced.

Matthew Smith, from Touchstone Residential, who is marketing and managing the apartments, said: “The Keel has generated extremely high levels of interest from the outset, with strong demand for viewings since we unveiled the development back in June.

“The Liverpool rental market is very competitive, but the outstanding interiors of the show apartment, proximity to the city centre and superb riverside location have really captured people’s attention.”
