Date: Friday 18th November – Sunday 18th December
Location: Town Hall Square, Northgate Street, Chester
Shoppers are in for a magical experience as Chester’s Christmas Market returns to the city with over 70 traditional wooden chalets selling everything from festive treats to handcrafted gifts.
The market will be open from 10am until 7pm this weekend offering quality local and regional products, crafts, clothing, accessories, jewellery, unique gifts and stocking fillers for loved ones. A real ale bar will also be open until 9pm from Thursday to Saturday.2. Revolution Series: Champions League
Date: Friday 25th – Saturday 26th November
Location: National Cycling Centre, Manchester
This weekend, see the champions of the track live in action as they go head to head with the world’s best road teams to decide the ultimate cycling victors. The top teams from the UK Championship will qualify to race against eight for the leading World Tour professional teams including Team Sky.
3. Cinderella
Date: Friday 18th November – Saturday 14th January
Location: Octagon Theatre, Bolton
It’s got all the traditional elements of the classic tale – a feisty girl who dreams of dressing up and dancing, a wicked stepmother, mean older sisters, and a slightly geeky Prince – but this adaptation has one big difference. The rats are in charge.
Join Whiskers, Tail, Teeth, Ears and Claws as they tell their story, play live music, dance, sing and squabble their way through to the hilarious fairy-tale ending.
4. Manchester Christmas Markets
Date: Thursday 10th November – Saturday 10th December
Location: Various locations, Manchester
The UK’s original, award winning Manchester Christmas Market returns this month with the “biggest and best festive offering” to date.
With nearly 350 stalls spanning across ten distinctive market sites including Cathedral Gardens, Exchange Square, Corn Exchange, King Street, St Ann’s Square, Brazennose Street and more, the city centre will be transformed into a festive wonderland perfect for Christmas shoppers.
5. Dreamworks Lights
Date: Saturday 26th November – Sunday 15th January
Location: St. George’s Hall, Liverpool, Merseyside
Bring the kids along to meet Shrek, Alex, Po and friends at DreamWorks Lights from this weekend onwards. With over 100 figures of their favourite characters and enlightening scenes based on major DreamWorks feature film productions, the illuminating lantern experience is set to light up the city this season.
