Pugh moves out of Preston

PRESTON-based auctioneer Pugh & Company is relocating its head office from Preston to Haydock after agreeing a lease for a unit at Bilsdale Properties’ The Parks development.

The company has taken unit 4 at The Parks, where landlord Bilsdale is currently refurbishing and improving a number of units to make vacant space more attractive to tenants. It has taken a five-year lease at the park, where the quoting rental level is just over £15 per sq ft.

Richard Wharton of King Sturge, who advised Bilsdale Properties, said: “We are delighted to welcome such a well-known company in the property world to The Parks to join existing occupiers such as Speedy Hire and Halsall Solicitors.

He added that Bilsdale was currently “talking to various parties” about vacant units ranging in size from 1,305 sq ft to 4,658 sq ft.

Pugh & Company director Stephen Swainson, said the move was a milestone for the company but was crucial to its future growth.

“We have outgrown our current offices and it was the opportunity to relocate the business to an accessible venue.”
