Bristol animation company recognised as one of the best places to work in UK
Bristol’s animation production company A Productions has been named as one of the best TV companies in the UK to work for.
Katherine McQueen, joint managing director and Hannah Murdoch, welfare and human resources manager attended the prestigious 2024 awards run by Broadcast magazine in partnership with the Workforce Research Group.
A Productions was reviewed and rated on criteria such as staff satisfaction and rewards, training, fairness and work environment.
A Productions was established in 1985 and since then the company has been committed to nurturing new talent and providing a supportive and trusting environment where employees can flourish. Initiatives and policies range from an internal mentoring scheme; extensive and open staff feedback programmes; being a dog-friendly studio and free life drawing classes.
The industry accolade comes at an exciting time for A Productions as the company moves into developing its own creator-driven content alongside its ever-expanding slate of commissioned animation production.

A Productions provides animation for an ever-expanding slate of kids shows including the much-loved CBeebies JoJo & Gran Gran, Magic Light’s Pip & Posy Let’s Learn and Sesame Street: The Nutcracker, Sesame Workshop’s first-ever animated special, which recently won a regional RTS (Royal Television Society) award.
The company has grown rapidly in the past five years, providing animation for an impressive roster of broadcasters including CBeebies, CITV, Channel 4, MAX and Sky.
