Airport looking to recruit 100 new staff

Bristol Airport is looking to take on 100 new workers.

The airport is teaming up with employers to hold a jobs fair.

The jobs on offer include customer service, hospitality, retail, airline handling and security positions.

There are more than 50 employers operating out of Bristol Airport, which is currently undergoing a multi-million pound transformation.

A number of employers from the site will be attending the jobs fair including security provider ICTS; travel catering specialist SSP; duty free shopping operator WDF; Escape and 1903 Lounges; Jet2; Europcar; Mego Employment; and Border Force.

Debbie Hartshorn, people director at Bristol Airport said: “After a busy 2023, the teams at Bristol Airport are gearing up for our busiest ever summer season. In preparation, we will be hosting a jobs fair this month to showcase a wide range of employers, shift patterns and interesting roles to suit people with different skills and experiences.

“This is an exciting time to be working at Bristol Airport as we will be flying to over 115 destinations in 2024. Our business partners, airlines, and Bristol Airport have been able to create new jobs, building up our position as the area’s largest private sector employer.

The Jobs Fair will be held in Lulsgate House at Bristol Airport on Tuesday, February 20, between 11am and 1pm. Free parking will be available and subsidised travel on the Flyer buses from Weston-Super-Mare and Bristol City Centre.
