Loungers open biggest restaurant to date in home town

Restaurant chain Loungers has opened its largest venue to date in the city where it launched just over 20 years ago.
The largest Lounge to date, Ritorno Lounge is located on Bristol’s iconic Harbourside with an outside terrace overlooking Pero’s Bridge.
The venue, which was the former Pitcher and Piano, includes a10.5-metre-long feature bar, huge mural paying homage to Lounges across the UK and, in a first for Lounges, its very own private dining room.
Loungers was founded by three friends in the Bristol suburb Bedminster and grown into a national chain with ambitions to open more than 600 venues across the country.
Despite its size guests and Lounge regulars will feel very at home thanks to the trademark lighting, oversized vintage sofas, upholstered chairs and eclectic artwork and portraits.
Gemma Irwin, head of community at Loungers said: “To be opening our 228th Lounge in such an incredible spot in our beloved city of Bristol is incredibly special, and a proud milestone for us.
“There are many great places to hang out in this part of Bristol so we’re delighted to now be in the position to offer visitors the option of enjoying our fabulous food, drink and excellent hospitality.”
It was busy week for Loungers as the group also opened its 36th Cosy Club, in Sheffield.
