Housebuilder makes director appointment

Bristol-based housebuilder Wain Homes Severn Valley has strengthened its team with the appointment of sales director Sophie Schofield.

Previously sales director at St. Modwen Homes overseeing the south of England, Schofield joins Wain Homes Severn Valley as the business announces a raft of new site acquisitions and planning approvals.

She said: “Wain Homes was always on my radar as an independently owned, fast-growing company whose vision and values mirror my own ambitions.

“Recent planning approvals will see us starting work on more than 600 new homes in the coming weeks and the opportunity to join the business at the start of this period of growth is an exciting challenge and gives me the chance to build a close-knit team dedicated to enhancing the customer experience and one in which everyone’s input and opinions matter.”

Part of the Wain Group, one of the UK’s largest private residential developers, Wain Homes Severn Valley builds new homes across Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire and the West Midlands and is a significant contributor to the group’s growth target of delivering 1,600 homes annually by 2028.

Carl Haley, Wain Homes Seven Valley managing director, added: “Sophie is a very important appointment at this stage of our expansion; she has a track record of developing talent and teamwork and buys into Wain Homes’ philosophy of creating new communities where the focus is on attractive, welcoming and sustainable new homes developments in desirable, convenient locations.

“Sophie’s passion and professionalism will also ensure we deliver a consistently first-class experience for our customers as they progress through the exciting journey towards their new homes.”

Schofield will be based at Wain Homes Severn Valley’s headquarters at Almondsbury Business Park in Bradley Stoke.
