Satellite comms specialist announces new HQ

Satellite communications company Global Telesat Communications has chosen Fleets Corner Business Park for its new headquarters.

Located in Poole and owned by Federated Hermes, Fleets Corner Business Park spans 560,000 sq ft, offering a range of new and refurbished industrial accommodation, accounting for 320,000 sq ft of the site, as well as 40,000 sq ft of refurbished office space.

Global Telesat Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based NextPlat Corp, a Nasdaq-listed company, is a reseller of the market’s most powerful and advanced satellite communications hardware, software and services, serving over 60,000 customers located in more than 165 countries.

The company has taken 2,470 sq ft on the ground floor of Waterloo House, which has been newly refurbished by Federated Hermes.

James Phipps, business development manager, Global Telesat Communications, said: “The relocation and upsize of our headquarters marks the next stage of growth for Global Telesat Communications. We required a location that combined quality with accessibility and breadth of amenities for staff, and nowhere else could match what is provided at Fleets Corner.”

Stephen Bradley, director of investment management, Federated Hermes, said: “Benefitting from its strong road links to the M27 and M3 motorways, Fleets Corner Business Park is strategically located with access across the South and South Coast international ports and airports. Setting the benchmark in the region for accessibility, quality of space, and range of amenities, the commitment of a leading global business such as Global Telesat Communications to Fleets Corner is a testament to this, and we are pleased to welcome them to the community.”

Global Telesat Communications is the latest company to join Fleets Corner, joining cosmetics company Lush, which last year invested £2.3m to grow the capabilities of its Green Hub, expanding its footprint at the park to over 275,000 sq ft.

Other companies to have based headquarters within the business park are Poole-based recruitment firm TeamJobs, and local engineering firm Calcinotto.

Galena Real Estate, JLL, Goadsby and CBRE acted for Federated Hermes on the deal.

Trethowans represented Global Telesat Communications.
