Day nursery bought by family group
Hopscotch Day Nursery in Hayle, west Cornwall has been acquired.
Established in 1997, Hopscotch Day Nursery operates from a traditional, former school building on Bodriggy Street.
The setting was previously owned by Tracey and Alan Matthews who decided to sell to enable them to retire from the sector.
Following a confidential sales process with Rachel Godwin at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by family-run group, Naturally Learning, marking the business’s seventh setting.
Mandy Richardson, managing director at Naturally Learning, said: “We are very excited to welcome Hopscotch into the Naturally Learning family. The staff and parents have welcomed us fondly and we are looking forward to investing, time, money, and passion into creating a nursery that offers a magical childhood. There is huge potential, watch this space.”
Godwin said: “I was delighted to introduce Hopscotch Nursery to the Naturally Learning Ltd group. It was an excellent match; I am excited to see this seventh setting in Cornwall for Naturally Learning blossom within their successful brand.”
Hopscotch Day Nursery was sold for an undisclosed price.
