Savills has been appointed to sell the freehold interest in Fox House Studios in Plymouth.

The property, on 8-10 Whimple Street, comprises 41 studio apartments and is currently operated as a hotel.

It is available for a guide price of £3.5m.

Fox House spans across the basement, ground and three upper floors, accessible via an internal lift and staircase at each level.  At basement level is a communal laundry room, linen store, office with WC and staff room.

The property, previously used as student accommodation until 2019, appeals to a diverse range of investors, Savills says.

It offers potential for year-round rental (48-51 weeks) to full time students at the University of Plymouth and currently operates successfully as a hotel.

James Greenslade, director, Savills Hotels capital markets, says: “Fox House represents a unique investment opportunity in a thriving city. With its versatility and modern amenities, it is an attractive proposition for a diverse range of investors.”
