Holiday firm announces major expansion at Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport

Holiday firm Jet2 has announced an expansion of its operations at the South West’s biggest airport.

The company is adding two destinations and is also recruiting 100 extra staff to service the new routes from Bristol.

The company has been operating from Bristol for two years and expect next summer to be their biggest yet as the tourism industry continues to recover from the Covid pandemic.

The tour operator is looking to recruit  individuals to fill cabin crew, ground operations, flight deck and engineering positions at the airport.

The expansion has been triggered by a strong demand for flights and holidays and the company will now be flying to Malaga and Chania in Crete.

The company now flies to 23 destinations from Bristol and capacity will increase by 13 per cent.

A seventh-based aircraft will come into operation at the Bristol to support the expansion.

Flight Deck roles will be targeted at experienced pilots with a strong training record and the commitment, energy and flexibility required to deliver the best service to customers.

“Since launching flights and holidays in 2021, the response from customers and independent travel agents across the South West and South Wales has been enormous and this has enabled us to enjoy the growth we have seen.

“With such a huge programme on sale for Summer 23 and customers flocking to book their place in the sunshine, we are delighted to be expanding our Bristol Airport team even further.

“The success of our award-winning business is down to the hard work of our colleagues, and we are looking forward to meeting like-minded passionate people to help us delight even more customers from Bristol Airport.”
