Dorset holiday cottage complex sold

Greenwood Grange, an award-winning holiday cottage complex in Dorset, has been sold.

The complex has been sold to hospitality operators Richard & Alison Stamper of Dorset Meadows.

The cottage complex in Higher Bockhampton is 10 minutes drive from the historic county town of Dorchester and 15 minutes from the Jurassic Coast.

Greenwood Grange is set over 7.5 acres and located on the edge of Thorncombe Woods, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The complex comprises 16 stone-built cottages converted from former farm buildings all named after characters and places from Thomas Hardy’s novels.

It also features an indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, six hot tubs, two games rooms, two tennis courts and a children’s play area.

Matthew Smith, partner, hotel agency at Knight Frank, said: “Having launched Greenwood Grange Holiday Complex to the market in January we’re delighted to announce the sale. Given the demand for self-catering businesses, we received considerable interest, successfully selling for in excess of the guide price, and wish the new owners Richard & Alison Stamper all the very best with their plans for a business that provides exciting growth opportunities”

Greenwood Grange was sold for an undisclosed sum.
