New director hired at accountancy firm

A new director has been appointed by chartered accountants and business advisers Westcotts to head up its Crediton office.

Accountant Matt Melksham joins the firm with more than 23 years experience and will lead the four-strong team, while supporting a growing number of clients in mid Devon.

Melksham has local knowledge and experience of working with long-standing clients in agriculture, pharmaceutical, estates, charities, and not-for-profit, professional services including the legal sector, as well as renewable energy and hospitality.

Prior to joining Westcotts, he spent the last five years as director owner of an independent firm of accountants in Exeter and before that, as a partner of a general practice in North Devon looking after clients ranging from sole traders to large corporate businesses.
