Holiday firm expands into new offices to cope with increasing demand

Holiday home company Cornish Gems has expanded into a new office due to increased demand.
Alongside the team’s head office in Truro, the new Roseland residence on the Chenoweth Estate, is a satellite office for the growing portfolio and in-house Gems Interiors teams.
The second office is helping to reduce business miles and enable a dedicated new design space for the flourishing in-house interior design department.
Gems Interiors has ambitious growth plans following an impressive 100 per cent uplift in new interior commissions year-on-year.
Cornish Gems founder Nadia Macer-Wright said: “We are thrilled to be building our team and creating new jobs in Cornwall, while also offering our owners an enhanced interior design service too.
“This is an exciting moment and one of many milestone developments in store – as we continue our journey towards B Corp and leading the charge for ethical tourism in Cornwall, to support our local community and circular economy.”
The Roseland office opening also signifies a new chapter in the Cornish company’s future as co-founder Julianne Shelton steps away from the business, after 16 successful years – having founded the company alongside Nadia in 2007.
Cornish Gems is a nationally renowned independent specialist, the go-to for exceptional holidays in Cornwall – employing over 100 local people and offering a handpicked collection of 200 extraordinary properties across the county.
Julianne Shelton, co-founder of Cornish Gems, added: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Nadia and the wonderful team, and feel enormously proud of the company we’ve built. I’m leaving on a high, wishing my Gems family every success, as Nadia continues to carve out Cornish Gems’ legacy as the holiday home company to do business with.”
