Accountancy firm Azets has opened a new Bristol office, located on Temple Back East.

As the second new office in the central and west region since 2022, the move demonstrates Azets’ continued investment in the area.

The newly formed workplace will house specialists in tax, audit and business advisory.

The office, which will be headed up by Iain Sanderson, marks the 87th in the Azets’ UK network.

Sanderson joins Azets as a tax partner, having spent the past 27 years working in tax at PwC, and will lead the corporate tax team in Bristol.

He said: “It’s an exciting time to join Azets as the company continues to expand its footprint across the southwest. The new Bristol office offers fantastic connectivity and opportunities for collaboration. We’re looking forward to growing the team, to keep up with demand from clients.”

Richard Goddard, regional managing director at Azets, added: “Opening the Bristol office and welcoming Iain to the team is a great step towards our goals for strategic development. The past few years have accelerated changes in the delivery of accountancy and advisory services, and Azets, with its extensive technology platforms, is leading the way to ensuring a more productive client relationship by simplifying workflow. It’s an exciting time for us, as we have ambitious growth plans for the area, and I look forward to working with the new Bristol team to help them deliver upon our collective ambitions.”
