Gloucestershire business acquired in multi-million pound deal
A surveying firm which is based in Gloucestershire has been sold in a multi-million pound deal.
Midland Survey Limited (MSL) has been acquired by environmental services company Lucion Group. The deal, which was supported by Palatine Private Equity and HSBC, is Lucion’s fourth acquisition in the last 12 months.
Lucion has confirmed MSL, which has bases in Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, Yorkshire and Sussex, will be integrated into its Lucion Services division.
MSL’s specialist surveying services include building surveys, underground utility surveys topographical surveys, 3D modelling and CCTV drainage surveys. These are offered across strategic sectors including infrastructure, commercial, residential and the public sector.
The acquisition follows Lucion Services’ previous acquisition in March of Landform Surveys Ltd, a Gateshead-based topographical surveying company.
Jeremy Meredith, managing director at Lucion Services said: “With the acquisition of MSL, Lucion Services now offers a truly national environmental survey capability. The acquisition complements that of Gateshead-based Landform Surveys, 8 months ago, giving us coverage across the whole of the UK whilst adding more diverse services including non-invasive CCTV condition surveys.”
Kieran Lawton, senior investment director at Palatine said: “We’re delighted to welcome MSL into the group as part of Lucion’s clear plan of sustainable expansion through complementary acquisitions as well as organic growth.
“Going forward, we will continue support the group in expanding and enhancing its service offering and geographical reach, enabling it to continue delivering its mission to protect people and the planet.”
