Cornish touring company handed £541,000 grant

Miracle Theatre, a touring company in Cornwall, has received a grant from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme.

The £541,016 grant, spanning two years, is funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund through the £132m Good Growth Programme, managed by Cornwall Council.

This funding will allow Miracle Theatre to innovate and develop new ways of working, providing fresh opportunities for Cornish artists and extending its services throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, year-round.

Miracle Camp, a component of the project, functions as a talent incubator, offering residential workshops to identify and develop emerging artists in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Miracle Theatre is also establishing a network of community collaborators comprising passionate individuals from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

These collaborators will serve as a connection between Miracle Theatre and local communities, contributing to the creation of experiences that connect deeply with audiences. Additionally, the Miracle Commissions Initiative aims to encourage collaborations across various sectors, fostering creativity and addressing societal needs.
