Green light for Coventry housing scheme

Piper Homes has been given the green light to build 115 homes on land off Pickford Green Lane in Allesley, Coventry.

The company is hoping to start construction at the site this spring.

Andrew Browne, head of land and partnerships at Piper Homes, said: “It’s great news that we’ve been given the go-ahead to deliver these much-needed new homes for local people.

“Respecting the rural surroundings of the development, our aim is to create a village-like feel; building low-density homes in a variety of styles and including features such as a community orchard with picturesque seating area, a village square and public open space that can be used by residents and neighbours for socialising and exercising.

“At Piper Homes we strongly believe in delivering high quality and well-designed homes that people are proud to call home. Now that planning has been granted at Pickford Green Lane, we can’t wait to get started and look forward to welcoming our first homeowners towards the end of the year.”

The development will include a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes, including some two bedroom bungalows.
