Eight promotions at DTZ and more appointments news

EIGHT promotions have been made in the Birmingham office of real estate advisors DTZ.

Mark Jackson and Stephen Kirby have stepped up to associate director in the consulting and valuation teams respectively.

Joanna Raine (professional advisory services/valuation), Hannah Jones and Andy Roberts (corporate real estate management) have been promoted to senior surveyors.

Making up the group is Kate Baker and Vivien Batey (corporate real estate management) and Jonathan Webb (retail active management) who have all stepped up to surveyor level.

Jon Leedham, regional managing director, said: “I am delighted to announce these well deserved promotions.

“In the face of challenging market conditions, these individuals have demonstrated professionalism and commitment to their role and made a significant contribution to the Birmingham office.”

DOUGLAS Bonham, an out-of-town office specialist, is joining Colliers International in Birmingham as a director in October.

He is currently an associate partner at KWB in Birmingham where he has worked for six years.

Mr Bonham will work alongside Colliers’ head of office agency Craig Satchwell, focusing on out-of-town offices in the West and East Midlands, while Mr Satchwell will continue covering the city centre market.

Nigel Shaw, centre manager at the University of Warwick’s Blythe Valley Innovation CentreBLYTHE Valley Innovation Centre in Solihull has a new part-time manager in the shape of Nigel Shaw, (right), a former mechanical engineer.

His background is in technology and property management and he recently developed and let over 750,000 sq ft of offices and labs at a Worcestershire science park.

The business centre is owned by the University of Warwick Science Park.

SERVICED office space company Pure Offices has appointed a centre manager for its new office development in Oldbury.

Stella Broster joins from a marketing role at the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

She began her career in the finance sector and has also worked for law practices Eversheds and Wragge & Co.
