BCO awards scheme opens for entries

THE British Council for Offices has opened entries to its 2012 regional awards scheme.
Office projects across the region can enter the Midlands and East Anglia section in five separate categories: corporate workplace; commercial workplace; fit out of workplace; refurbished/recycled workplace and projects up to 2,000 sq metres.
Worcestershire and Herefordshire projects come under the South West of England region.
Among the 2011 Midlands winners were Severn Trent’s new corporate HQ, in Coventry, named best corporate workplace, and the British Horse Society’s HQ in Warwickshire, crowned best project up to 2,000 sq metres.
Category winners will be announced in the spring with champions from five UK regions going forward to compete at the national awards to be held next October.
At the national ceremony, three additional prizes will be handed out for innovation, the president’s award and the overall best of the best, won in 2010 by Eleven Brindleyplace, Birmingham.
The deadline for entries to 2012 awards is November 25.
