IM Properties to consult on Birch Coppice plans

A PUBLIC exhibition on plans for a further extension to the Birch Coppice Business Park in Dordon is to be held by IM Properties.

A display illustrating the proposals will be available for viewing at Dordon Village Hall, Browns Lane, Dordon on Friday June 15 and Saturday June 16.

The exhibition will enable local residents, businesses and other interested parties to view details of the plans and ask questions of the team before giving feedback to further shape the proposals, prior to submission of an outline planning application.

IM Properties development director, Kevin Ashfield said: “We have been in extensive consultation with a number of statutory bodies for some time and would now like to invite local residents and businesses to view our proposals and give us their opinions.”

Birch Coppice Business Park, incorporating the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal, is the largest rail-served development site in the region.

Companies in the business park already employ more than 3,000 people and IM suggests that its expansion proposals could see that number double.

It is likely that an outline planning application will be submitted in July.
