Executive air charter service takes off at FA centre of excellence

THE Football Association’s new national centre of excellence in Staffordshire is proving a magnet to service sector businesses eager to cash in on new opportunities offered by the opening of the facility.
The latest is Weston Aviation, operator of Tatenhill Airfield. It has launched a new venture to provide executive helicopter and aircraft handling services at the airfield, which in turn will serve the new sports facility.
The airfield is located directly adjacent to the new centre, which is located on the 330-acre site at St George’s Park, near Burton upon Trent.
Weston said its new facility would provide a convenient arrival and departure point for all visiting helicopters and fixed wing aircraft ferrying passengers to and from the park.
Nick Weston, Managing Director, Weston Aviation, said the proximity of Tatenhill Airfield right next to St George’s Park had given the airfield operator a unique opportunity to create an executive aviation handling service which would perfectly fit with the FA’s requirements.
“This will establish Tatenhill Airfield and the new St. George’s Park Executive Aviation Centre as a regular handler of both helicopter and fixed wing aircraft,” he said.
Weston Aviation also provides private aircraft and helicopter charters at four other UK airports: Durham Tees Valley, Humberside, Newquay and Robin Hood Doncaster.
