6 things to do in the West Midlands this weekend

Hop on a heritage walk
Head along to Soho House this weekend to discover the incredible history of Handsworth. You will see beautiful Georgian and Victorian architecture on the tour as well as a church that was built almost one millennium ago, one of the best parks that Birmingham has to offer as well as having the opportunity to marvel at all the magnificent civic buildings. Discover Drakelow Tunnels in the dark…
Why not spend your Sunday evening ghost hunting in Drakelow Tunnels? The tunnels, which are in Kidderminster, were used in WWII and a number of tragic deaths are believed to have happened there, making it a super spooky place to spend your night. Chill out Caribbean style

Enjoy the orchestra
Head along to The Barber Institute of Fine Arts in Birmingham on Saturday night for an enjoyable evening of beautiful music. The Bournville String Orchestra are putting on their annual charity concert and are being joined by four young and talented soloists to perform a whole range of music. The event, which begins at 7.30pm, is in aid of the children’s hand and arm surgery unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Find out more here.
Rotary Club country festival
Spend your Sunday at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens for their annual country music festival, which will welcome special guests father and son duo Stonecold Country and northern guitarist and singer Nigel Slater.
