Property Appointments: CBRE; Deeley Properties; Eddisons Taylors

CBRE has strengthened its capital markets team in Birmingham with a new appointment.

Oliver Forster joins the company as a director. He was previously at BNP Paribas Real Estate in the city, where he spent the last four years. Prior to that he worked at King Sturge and JLL.
 
At BNP, Mr Forster advised on acquisitions and disposals across the Midlands region in the office, industrial, distribution and leisure sectors, working on deals including Trinity Park, Solihull; Earlsdon Park, Coventry and Quinton Business Park, Birmingham.
 
CBRE’s capital markets team in Birmingham has had a strong start to 2017, advising on more than £330m of investment transactions, including Brindleyplace and One Eleven Edmund Street. CBRE is also instructed to sell Tricorn House in Edgbaston, which it said was attracting strong interest.
 
Nick Woodward, who heads the capital markets team in Birmingham, said: “Oliver is a welcome addition to the team. He has worked with a diverse range of clients and his expertise and relationships will complement the existing team and strengthen our capital markets business.”

Peter Harthill, Pat Moroney, Andrew Brazier, Andrew Cann, Peter Deeley and Matt Parry (seated)A Coventry property company is setting its sights on expansion with a senior appointment.

Matt Parry has joined Deeley Properties – part of the Deeley Group – as development manager and in his new role will be scouring the UK for new opportunities and potential sites.

Formerly of King Sturge and RPS, Mr Parry has moved to the company from Cranford Developments in Staffordshire, where he has spent the last 11 years.

Mr Parry said: “Deeley Properties is looking to grow and I believe there are some great opportunities but you have to get out there, get in front of people and grab those opportunities with both hands.

“I will be looking at residential, commercial and mixed-use opportunities in the Midlands and beyond.”

Peter Deeley, managing director of the Deeley Group, said: “We are very pleased to have Matt on board.

“We believe the market is showing strength and that is why we wanted to grow the development team.”

Chris Worrall, associate directorEddisons Taylors, the trading asset valuation specialist formed when Eddisons acquired Northampton firm Taylors Business Surveyors and Valuers in 2015, has appointed a new Midlands-based chartered surveyor and valuations expert as part of a strategy to continue to grow the business over the coming months.

Chris Worrall, a specialist in the leisure, healthcare medical and education sectors, joins the firm as associate director.

He joins from property consultant Vail Williams, having previously worked for Pinders, part of the Christie Group.

“I have had a national remit although over recent years focused on the Midlands – specifically the Birmingham market – and have built up a substantial body of contacts,” he said.

Eddisons Taylors director Chris Mitchell said: “Chris’ in-depth knowledge of the specialist areas within which we already operate will further strengthen and add depth to our team. We are seeing an escalating demand for our services in all of these sectors, particularly from within our extensive list of lending clients.
