Thursfields advises on Concept Furniture deal

WORCESTERSHIRE law firm Thursfields has advised CFI Group, on its acquisition of Kidderminster’s Concept Furniture International for an undisclosed sum.

The deal is effectively a management buyout as CFI is owned by Justin Gray who has been managing director of Concept Furniture International since 1997 and, prior to the acquisition, owned 50% of the shares in the company.

Concept is one of the leading suppliers of hire furniture to exhibitions, conferences and events in the UK and internationally and supplies to clients and events including the Champions League, London Fashion Week, the International Jewellery Exhibition, Tesco Wine Fair and the BBC Good Food Show.

The company also manufactures bespoke furniture and counts high profile designer fashion brands and telecoms and retail giants among its clients.  

Thursfields advised on the corporate and acquisition finance aspects of the transaction. The Thursfields team was led by Gareth Burge, a director in the corporate team.
