Building Briefs: EIC, Fleet-Milne, Cushman and Wakefield, Gallan

BUILDING services provider EIC has completed a £1.1m mechanical and electrical installation contract at St Anne’s Primary School in Chelmswood, Birmingham.

The newly constructed school has solar panels, a new fire alarm system, under floor heating and electrical door access after seven months of work.

Joint managing director at EIC, whose HQ is in Alcester near Redditch, said: “The systems we have put in place have not only contributed towards making the new building energy efficient but have also helped to provide a modern working environment for staff and pupils.”

Ian Heeley, contract manager at Kier Moss, added: “The project required close liaison between EIC and Kier Moss as well as the local authority and school to ensure we met their particular requirements.

“The completion of this project has resulted in a very satisfied client which is testament to the skill and hard work of all those involved.”

RESIDENTIAL letting agency Fleet-Milne has found a novel way of telling customers it is open over Christmas.

The firm, based at The Mailbox in Birmingham, has shot an amusing short video for its website which details a husband’s misdemeanours at an office party.

Agency boss Nicola Fleet-Milne told TheBusinessDesk.com that Christmas was traditionally a very busy time for men in relationships to be looking for rented accommodation after being chucked out by their partners for cheating. Watch it here – warning, it contains swearing.
