Building Briefs: NBTY Europe, JS Wright, Lovell

SUPPLEMENTS manufacturer NBTY Europe has officially unveiled its £20m investment in the West Midlands with two new regional hubs.

The parent company to Holland and Barrett and Julian Graves has a new headquarters in Nuneaton and a distribution hub in Burton.

Samuel Ryder House is a £6m head office and store support centre, in Warwickshire, housing more than 160 staff and the central operations for all the company’s brands.

It is named after Samuel Ryder, the famous golfer and founder of Holland & Barrett, who set up the company from a market garden in the 1920s.

Burton 2 is the new 130,000 sq ft processing and packing plant which the company says was developed at a cost of more than £14m.

It compliments Burton 1, an existing warehouse and distribution base on the same site, Centrum 100 Business Park.
