New deals at Mclaren and more lettings news

BRUNTWOOD’S Mclaren building in central Birmingham has seen 16,000 sq ft either let or renewed.

Specialist assessment company Pearson’s has taken 3,000 sq ft while Cartwright King Solicitors has moved into a 3,500 sq ft-office space.

Tyndallwoods Solicitors, which has been a Bruntwood customer for two years, has renewed its lease and expanded its footprint to 8,426 sq ft while management consultancy T.A. Cook recently moved into 1,242 sq ft from Bruntwood’s Cornwall Buildings, also in Birmingham.

In other lettings news, Birmingham-based corporate clothing company Trojan has relocated to help it meet growing demand.

The firm has signed a 10-year lease on 16,000 sq ft of space at Kings Norton Business Centre, south of Birmingham, from SEGRO after it outgrew its previous premises in the Garretts Green area of the city.

Gabrielle Love, marketing manager at Trojan, said that the business had doubled in size in the past 18 months and had been searching for a suitable base.

A trio of deals have also been completed at Percy Business Park, in Oldbury, by joint agents Knight Frank and Bulleys on behalf of Coltham Developments.

They are a 10-year lease on 7,897 sq ft to Andrew Page, a distributor of vehicle components, workshop equipment, tools and diagnostics.

SAS International, a designer and manufacturer of metal ceilings, has bought the freehold of two units totalling 8,314 sq ft and specialist software company Davis Decade has taken 1,624 sq ft.
