Morgan Sindall wins £5.5m schools contract

RUGBY-based construction and infrastructure firm Morgan Sindall has won two school contracts worth £5.5m in the London Borough of Brent.
The firm has been appointed to build a 10,763 sq ft extension at Newfield Primary School which will create seven additional classrooms and a 150 sq m multi-use hall.
External works will also be carried out to create a new outdoor play area.
The Warwickshire company will also build a 12,916 sq ft extension at Brentfield Primary School to create seven new classrooms.
The existing building will undergo internal remodelling to make better use of space, while landscape work will also be carried out to create a multi-use games area.
The investment will create an additional 210 places at both schools once completed in November.
Contract manager Harry Robinson said: “Our experience and ability to deliver education projects plays a big part in maintaining a steady flow of new business and creating a very healthy order book.
“Our strength in the sector continues to grow. This is reflected in the amount of repeat work we are securing with clients such as the London Borough of Brent.”
