An at-home care company has moved into larger premises in Solihull after more than doubling in size since launching just over a year ago.

Home Instead Solihull, which provides care to help older people to live in their own homes, has moved into 5 Hockley Court, Hockley Heath.

David Dunn, managing director of the care company, had launched in a smaller office with just one other member of staff in April 2016, but quickly outgrew the premises.

The company now has three full-time and three part-time office staff, as well as around 20 part-time care givers supporting older people across the Solihull community.

Mr Dunn said: “We’re an at-home care company providing care and support to elderly people in the local community, helping them to remain living independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

“Since launching last year, we have more than doubled the size of the business. We now have more than 25 clients, and are still growing.”

Mr Dunn has taken on the 1,064 sq ft space at £11,875 a year for three years, with a break clause after two years in case further growth means an even larger property was needed.

The deal was brokered by property agents SDL Bigwood.

James Carver, associate partner at SDL Bigwood, said: “We were really pleased to find the right space for the expansion of this business, which plays such an important role in so many people’s lives.”
